I like the first one better for the landscape part, because I can make out the tower better and the large rocks in the foreground give me more of a "grand" impression of the vast rockiness of the place.
But I like the sky MUCH better in the second, where the sun has just sunk below the horizon; the colors are still pretty but not so over saturated as to look overdone, and the way the light plays along the one, long wispy cloud is just beautiful.
