PhotoJoe: you have an absolute winner with that first image there....it would be a sweet image all alone, but something about the title you gave it really makes it poignant... very well done! And B&W is always fabulous, generally speaking. :D

The first frame is strong! The lighting seems etheral to me. The subject has a great expression and I love how he is pointing to his hat.

fantabulous shots! those definately get the 'chur bro' award from me ;) Can't say i would change a thing about any of those shots... ok one thing post bigger shots here!

wow. i love those! whats your set up Joe? Camera, settings, tripod etc?

I would have to agree with everyone on the first one. It really captures the moment and has a timely feel to it. Good work!

I also love the first picture...the second one would look great in b&w....by the way I love b&w pictures!

Vonnagy....thats not him point at his hat...he's holding a cane and has his index finger on the cane appearing it to look as if he is pointing...the cane is dark making it disappear with his coat. but looks great anyway...i think!

Wow! Thanks for the very positive response to the work. Someone asked what my set up is. This was nearly 7 years ago, so it is a stretch to try and remember what speeds of Kodak I was using, but I can say for sure that I was using my 35mm EOS Élan IIE. Hand held, just strolling through the cemetery. The second shot was actually the first one I took on the end of my color roll. Then I changed the load to black and white and went in for a closer look.

I like the expression on the guy's face in the first one. Then I looked at the second one and noticed the watering can was gone. Now I'm looking at the first one thinking to myself that this guy is looking at you saying to himself "Just smile and the wacko with the camera and the water can will go away and hopefully take his bucket with him."

They're both good pics though I like em both in B&W.
