What's new

juvenile sandhill crane in flight and sitting adults in flight (pic heavy)

Those are great grasshopper.

I hope to get out in October as I have a sanctuary a few miles from my home. It is their staging area, 1000's go there before making the trek down south. I have the maps, peak times, and everything ready to go so it's gonna happen. I have read there are Whopping Crane's being spotted now as well. If curious, here is a link to what I have near my home.

Thanks

Boy would I live to find some of these birds. Nice series and lucky you!
Thank you

Nice set! But do try and remember to set a +1 or so EC when shooting those birds against the sky. If in manual up the exposure a stop by any means. Am planning a trip to Bosque del Apache this Nov so may see one or two of those if they swing west a bit. ;)

What will the EC do in this particular series? Still learning....
Thanks.

increased EC will more properly expose the bird against a brighter sky. Yes. the sky may blow out in spots, but the sky wasn't the subject, right? :)
