Thank you both ,it was a great 4 days at Churchill Downs thats for sure ,cant for May to roll around .

Shooting an event like this would scare me, it's one lap - dont mess up. I feel like you should have 10 cameras all on remotes to do this the right way. Very hard for one person to do.
None the less, I'm gonna give Belmont a try

Very nice series of images, it's one of the few sports that I have never shot, maybe one day I'll give it a try. Certainly some added pressure to get it right, and you got it right. Shooting sports is stressful most of the time, but one shot events, the pressure and stress is far greater than the average photographer could ever imagine. If you have shot the sport enough it becomes second nature and while there is still the stress, it is more manageable. I remember how it felt shooting the 100m final at the 1988 Olympics with Ben Johnson and Carl Lewis, it was more anticipation that being stressed, I only had a few seconds to shoot, I was covering the start, we had 4 photographers covering the race. Being able to walk away with solid images is what makes a photographer.

#3 is my favorite, followed by #4 and #1 and the #2. Good job.
