Keyboards...so many choices

So im in the market for a new keyboard and mouse for my desktop and every time i upgrade my keyboard and mouse i like to try a different make or style. The choices are endless these days. the cost can range from $20.00- $1700.00 its insane.

Im not looking to buy a 1700 keyboard but i am looking to by something that isnt your average keyboard. My question is:

What kind of a keyboard do you have and why do you love it?

Logitech wireless keyboard with a touchpad so I can control my computer from my bed / couch if I'm watching tv on it. Logitech g500 mouse because it's got easy a back, forward, and media button on the side, hyperscroll, and on the fly adjustable sensitivity. Plus you can change how much it weighs.

Work great, last forever, no need to upgrade. 8 rechargeable batteries and a 4 battery charger and you are always good.

My views:

1) Wireless for most people is a gimmic. Because the keyboard isn't going to go anywhere but on the desk with the computer - so you've no need to be able to move it away. The cable itself also hardly gets in the way most of the time.
Unless you really are going to need wireless mobility with the keyboard I wouldn't bother with it.

2) Unless you want something really flashy go with a cheap keyboard - so long as its by a good brand it will be fine. They are really simple tools and so easily made that, yes they do mostly have low prices.

3) Glowing/flashy lights - big important choice!

4) Extra buttons and function buttons are neat if you want them.

Logitech wireless keyboard and mouse -- you can do a lot of shortcut with the mouse and keyboard settings via your keyboard. I am using the Logitech gaming mouse with my laptop, but I am in my desktop now and I love it here.

I'm going a little outside of the box. What about a basic keyboard and mouse (I'm a logitech fan as well) and throwing a Wacom tablet into the mix for photo editing. It's a game changer and definitely something fun and different to play with.

I had wireless keyboard and mouse on my last desktop and really got tired changing batteries. Now I have both wired to my new computer and don't have to worry about charging and changing batteries. Sometime the "old" is better than the "new".

I have one of these, and I lurve it. Of course, I do game a lot, but it's fantastic otherwise, too. The "Cherry MX Blue" or "Cherry MX Brown" variants would perhaps provide the best feel for general typing. The Aluminum chassis is just wonderful.

I love my Microsoft ergonomic keyboard. It can take a bit of getting used to but it's so much more comfortable. Going back to normal keyboards feels so unnatural and strained.

Any of the Razor keyboards are great, I find the low profile gaming keyboards awesome for photo editing. plus the good ones are back lit. maybe couple hundred.

I use a Razer DeathAdder mouse and Razer Lycosa keyboard but then again, I am a big gamer. Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, League of Legends...games that require precise movement and a responsive keyboard and mouse. I love both.

My keyboards go back to a now-defunct company's keyboards, Northgate Computers. Northgate Computers - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Their keyboards were built like tanks. I'm still using them what??? 20 years or so? They are practically flawless and can take a beating. I'm told I pound on my keys, starting way, way back with 3/4" stroke teletype keyboards.

I've used my Razer Blackwidow Ultimate for over a year now and I love it. It's a loud mechanical keyboard, but it's phenomenal

Logitech K310 keyboard - washable, white keys, laser cut black letters. Washable also means dust/debris can't get into the keys.
