Well, since you asked for assistance here goes. These snapshots are about on par with what my 10yo does with her Coolpix. Looking up someone's nose is hardly ever a flattering angle for a portrait. The black and white has some potential, but could have benefitted greatly from being properly exposed and the use of a reflector. Also, your manners could use some work. Poking at a long time member in your third post on a board is never a good way to get people to take the time to actually help.
