May I say F.CK here!!? grrrr.... I leveled it a few times with lines on the dock and later with the ladder, but it never seemed right..

It does have an older feel to it but I like it. Where is the splashing water coming from? That's the only part I don't quite get.

May I say F.CK here!!? grrrr.... I leveled it a few times with lines on the dock and later with the ladder, but it never seemed right..

Sometimes you just have to make it "look right". You can't use the dock lines, and the ladder is not perfectly plumb, so in this case, just use the opposite shoreline, even though it might not be truly horizontal, it's what people will relate to.

I googled that and I can honestly say that I've never seen "fish on a stringer"


she was hitting the water with the stick and the stick fell into the water that moment, as I recall

It looks low-resolution for as large as the file is. It's not very pleasing to look at because it seems so "rough" and low in detail. It's somewhat ambiguous. I see the sticks in the water. I see the grimace on her face. I'm not OCD, so I can deal with a .4 degree horizon line issue, which might not even really be an actual issue. Sometimes a horizon line looks not-level...that's part of the idiom of photography, and has been since the 1840's. it's not a very good picture to me, as a person who has utterly no connection with the kid. I can see water droplets frozen in mid-are, and yet the kid's face is indistinguishable and it looks like a 1.3 megapixel capture from a late 1990's digigcam like say an old,early CoolPix....that just doesn't seem to make much sense.
