Kids is a relative term, my three grandkids who are all in their 20's, found an old box of sparklers from July. They for a while they were quite young again. Plus they are old enough I did not have to supervise.
The first shot is when they were standing in a group. The second shot is one of them running across the drive trying to spell "Merry Christmas", which to the camera is from right to left and backwards.
Caught without my tripod, a 6x6 porch pillar worked well enough. Exposure was f6.5, for 6 seconds, at 1600 ISO.
