Kids out of the hospital

Kid spent 17 days in the hospital post spinal surgery. they finally had to correct the scoliosis after it hit the 70 degree mark.
finally got to bring him home. I think hes close to 3 inches taller now. he cant sit up on his own yet, but the surgeon said it might take a
while. the surgery itself went well. they did a spinal fusion from T2 all the way down down to the pelvis. because of the curvature, I was worried about intestinal malrotation, but the worst we had to deal with was an ileus. someone had to stay with the kid 24/7 so the wife mostly stayed there and I went when i wasn't at work so she could come home for a bit. now starts the very long process of physical therapy and getting him able to sit up on his own again. good times.
