thanks for the feedback, dom.

looking at it on here, the kids dont look terribly in focus. is that my eyes?

^^ that was going to be my first comment.

The second was to maybe to play with levels and curves a bit.

And lastly, whaddup with the new avvy? We want sexy Beth back!!!!

just to clarify, your first thought was that they aren't in focus?

i was bored with that avatar. im not liking this one so much either, ill find something....

thanks for the feedback SWD!

seeing that these kids aren't in focus, i think im just going to leave the photo as is.

Here's an example of what I would do in levels: (in lafoto's footsteps)

Then I recommend sharpening the pic, I would have an example pic but photobucket is being stupid. I used radius 0.3 and 130% amount. (i think)

I bet you know this stuff already anyways, but oh well.

i dont know this stuff yet. ive been side tracked and havent really started my photoshop studies. i so badly want to learn though!

yep, like everyone said: a bit dark and the cut off legs are not the best framing. But my real problem is the boys; they are (of course) looking in the other direction and you can hardly make out their eyes. That makes it hard for me to connect with this pic.
