I don't know about the dart guns but I know the US Navy has trained dolphins for mine identification and item retrieval.

Yeah, they've been doing that for a while. And the last time some of those dolphins got out unintentionally they swam around for two days (guess they wanted a mini-vacation) and then came happily back to their handlers.

That story just smaks of "the onion". Now, I can see them using dolphins to "paint" underwater targets for submarines but that's a whole different ballgame from the logistics involved with what that story alleges. There again, the CIA tried to remove Castro from power by paying someone to but a poison in his shoes that would make his hair fall out (thought that a bald Castro would loose the people's respect). And that's about as dumb an idea as you can get!!!
