Nice shots!!

I like that you focussed on the surfers and said to hell with the kites!

I think you will get a better shot if you show the water below each surfer, as opposed to the shots that you can't see the take off or landing in ike #2, #5, and #6 to a lesser extent.

Love them.... #6 really catches my eye. I think it's the distorted broken leg syndrome thingy. Anatomy just isn't meant to bend that way. Looks cold, strenuous (I get winded just looking at them) and a whole hell of a lot of fun. Nicely captured.

#5 is great. I can't believe you caught him right when he was facing directly in front of the camera. love how you can see the design of his board too. Also- how did you take these shots? Were you on a boat or what?

I put a pair of wellies on and just walked into the water until it was near knee level. I actually need bigger wellies like the fishermen use as i got a bit wet.

You can get surprisingly close to kitesurfers. They tend to do most of their tricks in shallow water as if things go wrong and they lose their board or their kite crashes they dont have to swim around trying to get themselves going again. I pretty much had them going right by me and did not always need the full length of my 70-200 lens.
