Kitties for Barb

Just a pic taken with my cell phone... framed picture, crappy light, but good enough for government work...

Yup.. that rates an awww alright. Lol.. your right though, no way you could pull that off today. I remember before my dad passed away we were out in the front yard one day and he saw my next door neighbor putting his kids in the car without using car seats. He grumbled about it, saying he just couldn't believe the guy would be that horribly irresponsible.

I had to laugh and remind him of how many family vacations we took where my brother and my two sisters and I were all rolling around without so much as a seat belt or even a seat in the back of a station wagon, or how many times we'd be riding around in the back of a pickup truck flying over back country roads at 50+ mph. We never thought anything of it all back then.

No wonder people are such pansies nowadays.. lol.

Did I ever tell you guys I got to hold a baby lion once??? It was fricken AMAZING. His paws were bigger than my hands, but his whole body was probably 30lbs or so. And he sat in my lap (sort of) and PURRRRRRRRED.

I should scan that picture of me holding him and put him up. Might be an AWWW moment for Barb... cuz she thinks I'm SO cute. :)

I held a lion and tiger cub when I was 15. I held a tiger cub recently, I uploaded it to my facebook. You should be able to see it there.

And I do think you're cute :D

Awesome pics Todd, your Amur leopards will make me visit your zoo someday for sure, so few of them left now in the world. Also love the last one, awesome pic.

Kitties!!!

Todd, I love you. Seriously.
But...but I thought I was THE one!! *heartbroken*
I know what I'll do, I'll fight kitties with kitties :lmao: :lmao:

Aw Raj. See, you have the elephants. So that makes you my number one elephant guy! Todd, he has kitties, so that makes him my number one Kitty guy. He also sends me harassing emails all the time!

But when it comes to elephants, I love you!!

This would be tops on the list of "things the zoo wouldn't dare do in today's litigious world".

LOVE your picture. But zoo's do still do this. At least here. We held one the other day, and we are doing a big cat encounter with Robbie, a huge Bengal tiger. I'm sure I'm going to have to sign massive amounts of paperwork. Funny thing though, in Canada, you can't agree to "grievous bodily harm" or death. So if the tiger does attack me, I can still sue. I wouldn't though. I know full well the risks going in. It just sucks that there are people who will sue over anything.
(source for law I'm actually a paralegal, just not working in that field)

I think Canada may be more reasonable than the US in this regard. :)
(I dunno... I'm NOT a legal professional by any means) :)

Now that's so not fair, elephants are the least photogenic animals after rhinos and hippos.. But it's true, I can't really compete with his kitties, but I can surely try ;).. I'll give an extra special effort for the elephants next time I'm out :)
