Thanks folks, had a real good time today. Funny thing, when I was shooting the Siberian tiger, on the shot where she stuck her tongue out a little girl ran out in front of me to the railing. Her mom scolded her for it, I told her not to worry about it. The little girl was just awe struck, she points at the tiger and says "Look mommy, he's sticking his tongue out! He's sticking his tongue out!"

So I told her that it wasn't a He tiger, it was a She tiger, and her name is Isabella. The little girls whole face lit up.. "That's a girl tiger!" Apparently that made her whole day. Kids just crack me up.

Did I ever tell you guys I got to hold a baby lion once??? It was fricken AMAZING. His paws were bigger than my hands, but his whole body was probably 30lbs or so. And he sat in my lap (sort of) and PURRRRRRRRED.

I should scan that picture of me holding him and put him up. Might be an AWWW moment for Barb... cuz she thinks I'm SO cute.

btw, nice shots robbins... love the lion.

Thanks Manny - would love to see that shot of you holding a baby lion. Closest I've come was a house cat - but it did have a very bad attitude.. lol

Just a pic taken with my cell phone... framed picture, crappy light, but good enough for government work...

This would be tops on the list of "things the zoo wouldn't dare do in today's litigious world".

No one really remembers how the great kitty wars began, that knowledge being lost to history centuries ago. All we do know is that there was fur everywhere man. It was just freaky.

Lol
