These turtles enjoyed bobbing their heads above the water watching me as I paddled by.

This is a young Wood Duck. There were two of them still hanging around their mother. When the mother first spotted me she did her "trying to fly but wounded" thrashing around across the lake for about fifty yards.The whole group finally made it to shore and disappeared into the brush.
