honestly ... it is not a very good photo. The image is soft/OOF, lacks enough DOF for the eyes and ear to be in focus, poorly composed needless cutting of an ear with a somewhat distracting background with a pair of poles sticking out the the poor pooches head.

If this images was sharp it could be somewhat saved through cropping and increasing the contrast ... but there is nothing one can do about the softness caused by a low shutter speed or too shallow due to an aperture of 1.4.

Seems like a nice dog though.

Yeah, I was shooting in pretty much impossible low light. I had my lens wide open and the ISO way up.

I kind of like the graininess, although I wish it was sharper as far as focus goes.

The ear isn't cut off. Thats how his ears are. One sticks up and one lays back.

Didn't think about the distracting poles though. Thanks!
