For me the faces are the important part of shooting sports shots like this. This is a tough one because the lighting leaves the faces in the shade and if you correct the exposure the 1/2 to 2/3 stop needed to bring out the faces more you really blow the highlights.
Not sure which editing program you use, but try to get some fill light into the shadow areas. This will bring out those faces but not blow the highlights. Should be pretty easy to do if you shot in RAW, or if using Photshop set your preferences to allow ACR to process jpeg and use the fill light there to bring out the shadow areas. Or just give a simple try with the dodge tool on the faces to bring them out of the shadow some more...
