is this in NC right? I love that place, I got a lot of photos of the dam.

It is. That's the dam where they filmed part of the Fugitive. I've done a second edit on this to tone down some of the yellows, to a more pastel feel...really make you sleepy. I go up there every year for Mini's on the Dragon. Last year, there were over 700 of us there.

Bump - some critique, please.

This feels like it's about the contrast in textures between the sky and the water, and I feel like there's not enough going on in the water. The ripples on the water are too regular and busy, for me. They feel, I dunno, maybe trivial is the word? They're not pulling their weight.

Burning the bottom to add mass there, and then and edge burn to close to close up the frame (the sky also feels "loose" to me) made *me* like it better. YMMV:

cool, i do remember that part of the fugitive, but didnt know it was there.

i stop by fontana dam everytime im up there. love to take hwy 28, used to do it with my motorcylce, but like to take my car up there now, that i dont do that anymore.
