Lakeside sunset.

While fishing I thought I'd take a few snaps of a decent sunset. Used a polarizer on these to bring out details of the weeds.

Nice shots. I am also curious how using a CPL brings out details in the weeds. I would have used a split ND filter.

Nice exposure in a challenging exposure situation. I like the exposure throughout. The composition isn't super gripping in any of them.

If I had to choose, I'd go with #2. I'm thinking it feels a little constricted on the left side.

Beautiful sunset, not digging the composition. I would have either gone out to the weeds or gotten closer to the rocks, should have been nice side / rim lighting on them.

Yeah I only have my sneakers on and wasn't interested in getting wet.

I love the glass look of the water in #2 and how crisp even the reflection is. Really nice photos IMO! I am wondering when the sun went down all the way if it lit of the sky/clouds more?

I like the sky and colors you have in #3. Also the way the reflection is more complete and not cut off. The water is so glassy that it's hard to tell where the water stops and the sky begins.

Not bad. Interesting composition on #1, and then on #3 with the tree limb brought in. I kind of like the simplicity of #1, and the lake surface looks like it has a bit of a wave for some texture. A silhouetted naked female (human female, that is!!!) or a guy with a big fish and a fishin' rod in the foreground would have been nice....too bad you couldn't have rustled up either of those stock characters...oh well, pretty sunset shots...but Oh My Gawd, Martha, the horizon looks a bit un-level...

I agree, needed a strong subject to tie it all together.

It is level! I used complicated laser leveling devices along with advanced math.
