Lapwing on the Pond

Latin name Vanellus vanellus.

These are a very common wader here in the UK and the erratic flight makes them very hard to catch in flight- sadly this one was wandering around in the shallows of a local pond

Early morning bright light but no sun and a tad cold too I love his little crest
