A few more shots from my evening in San Diego.

I was trying to go to the Cabrillo monument but got there just after it closed. I hadn't realized there were such beautiful graveyards along Point Loma, so I figured I'd stay and make the best of it. I was hoping to give a feeling of remembrance and of honoring sacrifice.

Very powerful and moving photos.

Thank you Tirediron and Fanboy. I definitely felt a need to get it right.

Very nicely done, Desi.. makes one think.....

Great. Especially the second one.

Wow- #2 is almost supernatural. Great job.

Thanks guys. I really appreciate your comments.

I was actually a bit nervous about posting these.

There is something about the way the tree captures the warm glow of the sun that evokes the memory of the life represented by each of these stones.

Good stuff, Desi. It's hard to swallow what each of those stones stands for.

I like them both but the 1st one made me sad and think about what that x means. that to me makes it the better of the 2 thanks for sharing.
