LCD screen and view finder not ligting up for certain things

Hello,

I have a Canon 50D and the LCD screen is not lighting up for my shooting modes and settings. I'm not sure if I clicked on something to turn that off. Also my view finder AF points are not lighting up for manual selection. Any thoughts? Thank you

Got the view finder to show the manual AF points.
