Many wrongly think there is no cost associated with shooting digital images.

It costs about $300 to have a worn out DSLR shutter replaced.

Older entry-level cameras have shutter life expectancies of about 50,000 actuations. Many newer entry-level cameas have 100,000 click shutters, but some still have 50,000 click shutters.

So 50,000 divided by 300 per session = 166.6 sessions

Some shutters fail early, some fail late. If you buy a used camera, some of the shutter life has already been used up.
