Learning experience at the track!

I tried my luck at moving targets today. Kind of a rough place to shoot with the busy background, lack of space and shooting at a bad time of the day with no clouds, but here are a couple shots from today.

Do you have any specific issues you want the forum to address?

The exposures look ok for night shots. However the photos are pretty oh hum. Better photos would have included more drama like exhaust flames at the start line or something.

Patrice: From the OP's description and where the light is coming from, and the hue of the light, these aren't night shots.

And from a car lover's perspective, I like them. They are typical track shots, but they are clear. Maybe just a smidge under exposed. I particularly like the first one with the little bit of rear wheel blur.

Maybe try to talk your way into the pit next time, it opens up some different and better angles.

Very clear pictures, but missing the action. I would set to Servo Focus and give the background some motion blur.
