~ A Beaver Deceiver ~ This device has been installed to allow water to continue flowing from above to downstream of the beaver dam seen here. This will prevent water from washing over an adjacent roadway and presenting possible danger to those drivers using that road. Note that there is a significant volume of water upstream of the dam. Two beaver lodges are seen on the pond beyond the dam.

~ Timber ~ A beaver is capable of dropping very large trees. Here, a medium sized tree that a beaver has felled alongside a stream it is damming.

~ On The Move ~ With a quick turn, the water swirls as the beaver begins to makes its way upstream where it has been cutting materials for the building of dams.

~ Stealth Mode ~ Having slid from a position in shallow water, this beaver is seen swimming with most of its body below the water's surface.

~ Leave It To Beaver ~ Nature's engineers, the propensity of beaver to dam streams can lead to property damage inclusive of the dropping of trees, impact to wells and septic systems, and the flooding of roadways and other properties.

Very nice pictures and story. We have a beaver or two down the road and it has been interesting to watch the changes he has made on the land. Especially after he puts a tree or two into the road. He has one started that may take down power lines depending on which way it falls.
