Leaves drifting along the creek bank

Phil, It's missing something for me. I think maybe because the water is still I can't picture the leaves moving and hence it throws me off the photo. I think I know what you were thinking on it but of course with the view we have being limited I cant quite get there if that makes sense.

As I was walking along the creek bed, I noticed that the gently flowing waters were falling slightly, and depositing the leaves onto the sand. I was taken by the brightness and mono tones of the leaf surfaces against the colours and reflections in the waters

That's great. Sometimes the pic doesnt show the scene that you see. But thanks for sharing it with us.

I think the portrait orientation of this image really works well. The leaves provide a pleasing visual line by defining a natural border between the water and land. Even as the leaves have finally fallen from their trees they still find a way to contribute to our appreciation of the natural world.
