Legacy Cannon Lenses on New Cannon Bodies

this should be a simple question for some one to answer. will the lenses from an old cannon rebel film camera fit my new cannon t3i? I know this is probably dumb question but I am new to photography and thought I might be able to save a few dollars if i can use my mom's old lenses instead of buying new ones to learn with. Any way thanks in advance.
