Interesting rendition of the 'ship of the desert'....not sure I'd like to get that close to one though.

:)

In 1857-58 there was an experiment, an expedition where camels were used for a railroad survey through the Mojave Desert.

Anyway, it didn't work out- but became an interesting facet of our history. I needed a photo of a camel for my web site and luckily enough, I live about 5 miles from the only two camels in the Mojave Desert. I took a few 'normal' shots and the owner of the beasts came to feed them. I went over to the trough and started snapping a few close up shots and a few of the 'features' (broad, soft feet, perfect for the desert), etc. This one came up along side of me and I caught it through the corner of my eye and it scared the daylights out of me. Reminded me of a nightmare I had. So I went back to my jeep and grabbed my fisheye setup and snapped this one as well as the material for a few 'morphs.'

It didn't seem to like me too much.

& my favorite;

with allegory defined as:

an expressive style that uses fictional characters and events to describe some subject by suggestive resemblances; an extended metaphor

Anyway, out of the series of 3, and the posts I've made and (few) responses, you win!

I should get back to work and post a normal shot on my site.
