Can others edit my Photos
Photos OK to edit
Just a vent thread saying I want to be done editing these wedding photos already! Sheesh! Not to mention the fact that my homework keeps getting in the way... and the kids... and the husband... and the want to play Fallout: New Vegas. :( The PS3 is calling my name and I want to succumb to the temptation! :lmao:

girl I know how you feel.
That is why I say 6 to 8 weeks editing time for weddings... I strive for 4 weeks, but sometimes I just can't take it.
If you edit in batches, it really helps, edit in timelines.

Everyone I know and myself drastically changed their prices after shooting their first wedding. I think it's almost a right of passage to under charge for your first wedding, realize how hard it really is, and adjust from there.

I won't change my prices, but I won't be doing any more weddings either. Well, if I do, I'll make sure that they pay early enough for me to rent a flash if I've not bought one. Then I will charge more. $400 for a double wedding (even small) was not enough.

Bloody hell $400 is only enough for a goodnight out

Yeah, I'm glad I didn't charge her more, though. They actually bought a lot of stuff from garage sales. They were struggling. While I'm happy with the outside shots, I'm not with the inside shots. But next time, oh will things be different. Even if it's 10 years down the road, I've learned a lot with this one.

Illl give you a trick.

Yesterday, i wanted to play call of duty, but i also had a bunch of familly picture edit. i use a lcd TV as a second monitor. I did plug my ps3 on that TV and i had my pictures up on my other monitor. i was able to work on my pictures in between the rounds hahahha

thats why you need to invest $$ on softwares for your workflow. My guess is you probably promised them photo files only? Lets say you give them 500 photos. My guess I can probably go through all the photos I took, choose the good ones, fix WB, exposure, crop, clone minor stuff, set up a website for them to view and share, all in 4-6 hours.

No, they're ordering a package and a full rez cd. I'll probably give them 200-250 pics. I've probably only spent about 2-3 hrs so far, but it's not 2-3 straight hours so it feels muchhhhh longer.

Like I said, it feels much longer. If I could edit more than 1 photo at a time without being interrupted I'd be a lot happier. But someone always needs something right in the middle!

The "stuff from garage sales" will be gone in a few years. The pictures will be with them and their children for a lifetime........................

Don't get me wrong, I wasn't downing them! There was a lot of hand me down or handmade stuff at my wedding! We got the cake from Kroger! lol. It was more of to state their financial situation and me charging the $400 for a double wedding.
