Lens case - where to get one?

I purchased a 500mm lens on ebay for a steal, but it did not come with a case. My seamstress mother can easily make a soft case, but I would really like to find a hard case. I'm having a difficult time finding one big enough to fit a 14.25" long lens. Any suggestions on a vendor that would have one big enough without costing a fortune? Or perhaps plans on making one? Thanx for any help.

Try to make one. Maybe you could find a cardboard tube that's big enough that the lens fits in, then have your mother put the material of your choice outside, and something lint free on the inside.
