lens discoloration splotch

well i have no idea what happened but i was jut looking at myc amera today and i noticed an small area with some weird discoloration on the front of the lens. its not scratched or anything but theres strange color swirls. what may have caused this and how do i fix it?

That would be the lens coating.. I'd suggest keeping them.

Edit: What I'm thinking of may only be associated with polarization.
