I have the kit lens, plus a Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 II Camera Lens and Canon EF 28-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM (which for some reason- I am not crazy about)...
looking at getting a different zoom lens.
I mainly take portraits with my camera!
THANKS FOR your help!

What's your budget?

I'd suggest the 17-55 F2.8 IS or the 24-70 F2.8 L or the 70-200 F2.8 L IS.

Either of those lenses will cost more than your camera did.

Given what you have at the moment, I'd perhaps suggest you increase your options at the wide angle end of things. The EF-S 10-22mm is an excellent piece of glass and probably cheaper than any of BM's options.

The 10-22mm is indeed a great lens...but I wouldn't recommend it for portraits...it's just too wide and has too much distortion.

Very true, though I wasn't really thinking in terms of portraiture with that lens. That angle seemed nicely covered with the existing lenses (like 'em or not), as did short telephoto range. Hence my suggestion.

what is it about the 28-135 you don't like?

I shot portraits for a long time with just 50mm f1.8 and 85mm f1.8 but you said you wanted a zoom.

I only pointed that out because the OP mentioned portraits at the start. ;)

Actually, I have some great, albeit funny looking, portrait type shots of people with that lens.
