Lens suggestions

Does anyone have a suggestion on decent lens for a Minolta Maxxum 300si?

[Early]

AF 28-85mm f3.5-4.5 older lens
AF 24-85mm f3.5-4.5 costlier, but has more range
AF 50mm f1.7 or f1.4 costly
AF 70-210mm f4 older model, and supposedly the same optical design as the MD version. Often referred to as the ‘beer can lens’. Usually costly. This is the only one I haven’t used, and I’m going by hearsay.
