I was messing around and put this photo in B&W on my Flickr page. My girlfriend saw it and said "This should be in color!!".

Wich leads me to this. How the heck do you ever know when to switch something to B&W if the camera you are using captures color like nothing else.

I used to shoot in B&W all the time and it worked. No matter what the subject. It always looked right. Now with these awesome digital cameras, the colors are so vivid and the quality so nice. Switching a photo to B&W just seems so cheap! ha ha...little sarcasm there...

So far it seems that maybe the only photos to go B&W are maybe photos of old things....I don't know.

for this, certainly color...

well...try converting to BW pics with high contrasts or the ones you wish to give a certain feeling to because...you know...BW "delivers" your feelings to the viewer a lot better (at least in my opinion) :d
