Life Beyond the Canon Rebel T3

Hello,
After building a good base portfolio and clients, I am ready to ditch my Canon Rebel T3! I'm interested in the 5d Mark iii, thoughts? What lenses are a MUST for this body if I'm shooting a wide range of events? (Newborn up to Weddings) Thanks in advance for your help!

5d3 is great.If you are already shooting you'll probably need the equivilant lenses to what you have giving similar fov but for fullframe

Nice camera choice. The Canon 24-70mm f2.8 is a must have for the 5D IMO

Great camera. Glass for it, for ME would be 24-70mm f/2.8, 70-200mm f/2.8, 16-35mm f/2.8 or f/4. 85mm f/1.8

With a 5D III, if you have
(a) the EF 24-70mm f/2.8L USM II (there's also an f/4 version and it has IS -- I have not used this f/4 version)
and
(b) you have an EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS USM II
then you're off to a great start!

I have the original 24-70 f/2.8L (not the "II") and original 70-200mm f/2.8L IS (not the "II") but the newer versions are better than the originals (although the originals are still extremely good lenses.)
