Life expectancy of a Flash?

Anyone know how many actuations a camera flash is good for?

I'm thinking about picking a used Nikon SB600....

seller says only 1500 actuations..... so... lets assume he is off by say.... 25000 or so... would there still be a lot life left??

I don't really see people talking about flash failure often... not much on google either..

hmmm.... so 25k to 100k.... maybe i'll buy new...
