Light band in some frames

I recently got a Hasselblad 500C from my dad and started taking some pictures. A few pictures have this band of light in the same place in the image. The band is visible on the film itself. The band appeared on two separate rolls, one of Portra 400 and one of Ektachrome E100. On the Ektachrome roll it was only visible on one frame, but several on the Portra roll. It also appears on one frame and disappears on a frame taken a few seconds later. All shot with the standard 85mm lens.

It occurs to me that the camera hasn't been serviced in 20+ years so that may be a factor. Any ideas?

This is/has been a common problem. Google 'Hasselblad 500C' light leak problems and you will get lots of hits for the same issue. I don't have the time to go through them all but hopefully someone somewhere will have the solution.

Replace the light seals.
