Quick trip up to Ripon to see daughter and two grandchildren in the panto allowed a stroll down to the Cathedral.

I'm sorry, but I just don't understand the purpose of this. Your starting image was underexposed, and then you...painted over parts of it? You also missed spots to the left...

Is it underexposed? I'm not really with the doodling to be honest, but at this size the proper image looks good.

Thanks for taking the time out to comment.
I exposed for the glass which leaves the surrounds in dark shadow - lifted in Lightroom.
The doodles are designed to print on plain paper or card at the basic setting on any printer and ideal for email to aged Aunts who just have to press the button!
Ones of our local cathedrals on art paper have raised £thousands for local charities and I can take - process and print youngsters as the watch, producing over 50 8x10 on card - all outside at a PTA fundraiser. Been using a camera since 5x4 plates in 1948 and look at photography to be a pleasure.

That's a good work you're doing with the prints and interesting too you have a purpose with the doodling.

You've been shooting a long time. That's a lot of experience and it's obviously still a pleasure for you. I'd think you've learned plenty! Good luck.
