Light painting question

I don't know what it would do, and it would be tough to do with any kind of flash, but I wonder what would happen to number 2 with a little bit of smoke. Probably not your vision, just wondering out loud.

I actually did want a fire type look to be on the ground and had considered smoke(not sure how I would do that) or a fog machine. Then with a little more research I found glow wire which I think looks pretty cool. http://www.flickr.com/photos/tmo-photo/7458703924/in/photostream/
So I may try that. Only problem I have is I need an assistant to help me do everything.
