c&c always appreciated.
also a quick question, when posting images for critique how many images do you like to see per post? do you prefer when images are posted one at a time? i always find it a little hard to remember whats going on with there's 4 or 5 images in a post.
but for this one i posted 3 from the same night, to many or just right?

another exciting landscape shooting adventure! i need to get myself some landscape shooting buddies so i stop getting lost in dark forests :(
this was my first time at lighthouse park out in west vancouver. also my first time shooting a sunset with my new gear! though i definitely forgot that after sun set it gets dark... so i wandered around the multitude of paths in the dark for 45 minutes until i finally found my car. yikes! i thought i was lost. it all turned out ok though.

again playing with my new 10 stop filter for some long exposures and using lee GND filters to balance out the exposure of the sky and the foreground.

i've been challenging myself to shoot horizontally because for some reason i am just drawn so much more toward the vertical compositions of landscapes.

Basically, a very nice 3 picture set. Picture 1 would be just that much stronger if you used a 2/3 sky & 1/3 land ratio, as well as brightened up that very dark ground area on the right side. Picture 2 is my favorite just because I really like how you controlled the sky tones, yet there is still petty of daylight to bring out the details in the land portion. In picture 3 the setting sun really plays havoc with your sky, and the cloud formation isn't anywhere near as interesting as they are in picture 2.. If you would have waited just a few min more, the results would have been that much better.

thanks joel_w,

i'll make sure to stay a bit later and shoot after the sun has actually gone over the horizon
