Does anyone have a recommendation for a small lightpanel / lightpad / lightbox. (Economical please and around A4 size would be good).
I'm setting up for transparency and neg copying to digitise. Made the copystand okay. Macro lens on the D90 is fine. Tested with an iPad, -which works but of course you can see the iPad screen pixels.
I did buy one from ebay, but it's useless - has a black and white dot pattern. Obviously it needs to be a very flat bright light. Any tips?

This is the brand t use and recommend for slide sorting, as well as a light source for digitizing slides:

Thanks Razky, I should have noted that I'm in Australia. It'd cost a fortune to ship any of those lightboxes down here.
I'll have another perusal online.

I've found a beauty on Amazon. $56 delivered money well spent. Now to get the camera setup REALLY properly with GOOD focus and the right exposure.

So far very happy with the Amazon light panel. $56 delivered -that's cheapo Aussie bucks, -about $40 US$. I bought a 'Digitalizer' 120 scanning mask, But my 120 film doesn't seem to fit. Hmm I'll track the problem down. So far so good. Some nice (but not perfect) scans so far.

*cgw Note original post... "Economical".

I've made my own with a standard table lamp and a 5K LED bulb. Put it inside a cardboard box. Worked well.

Yes, you,ve said you were in Australia, but I wasn't aware that Porter-Trace products weren't sold there. What brand and model did you buy from Amazon?

cAs long as the light is even, no hot spots, it ought to do the job.
