Lightroom 3 Serial # Question

How do you know (when buying a "used" copy of lightroom) if the serial number is legit or if it's fake? I would hate to paypal someone the money and get a fake serial number, or an illegal one.

a serial # all together as without doubt is not legit. If I was going to buy used software I'd want the original disc and included key.

What if he is like me and just downloaded it from the net? I have CS5 the legal way with no cd or box to show for it. And by key do you mean serial?

Lots of software companies do not allow the resale of their stuff. Call Adobe and ask.

I don't use Adobe products, because I hate them.

But, in the passed their keys can only be used once, and it authenticates to their servers. So if this dude sells you a "license", that key can still be used by him and lock you out, I think.

You can de-authorize your computer to make the key available to another computer. I did it once with a PSE8.

I paid the money, took my chances, and so far things are good. The copy installed flawlessly and the serial number registered through Adobes website. We will see...
