Can others edit my Photos
Photos OK to edit
I will generally hit the auto button under the basic editing for the expsoure just to see what LR5 thinks.
In almost every photograph LR5 thinks that my photo is underexposed anywhere from a 1/2 stop to 1.5 stops. I always drop the exposure back down becasue to me LR5 over expopses. Any idea on why it is doing this?
I am using a D7100 with area metering.

First question, is your monitor hardware calibrated?

Yes, the first question is 'Over exposed according to what?'

I really don't think that the auto button would cause your image to have blown highlights, so when you say that it's overexposing...is that based on what you think it looks like, or the histogram? And if you are basing it on how it looks, is your monitor properly calibrated (with a calibration device)?

No, my monitor is not calibrated by a calibration device. I have calibrated to the best of my ability using the online test, but I am still curious as to why LR5 thinks my photo's are consistatnly underexposed when my camera thinks they are fine?
