Can others edit my Photos
Photos OK to edit
Lightroom 3 has suddenly stopped finding my pictures. I shows the C drive and my user file but it will not open any other folders. Any ideas? I have downloaded the latest update and still no change. So frustrated right now! Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Up at the top of the lightroom screen after you open it , there is four catagories across the top....where are you know ?

Is this on the Library screen or Import screen?

Are they on an external hard drive? And you opened up lr without it plugged in? Yuppp, itll never find them again until you re import them. It wouldn't find them after i did that..

Ohh thanks for this tid bit, I always have it plugged in, but now I will make extra sure when I open LR that its in.

Lightroom can be a real ***** at times, but it's worthwhile on the whole to get to know your way around its little quirks. I'm assuming you haven't moved the files in windows explorer into a different folder or something like that?

It's on the import screen. Sorry for the delayed response. I had to work last night....so, anyway.

Did you move the photos or rename the folder(s) they were in?

Not that I know of. The real problem is it won't even find the SD card when I plug it in.

So it's not a Lightroom problem after all.

When you plug the SD card into what? The camera? A card reader?

put the card in there, right click the tray for that drive and click eject. Pull it out and then push it back in.

All is well. I have solved the problem. For what ever reason the navigator would not find them but when I used the drop down menu all is well. Thanks for the help.

So, it was user error?

Haha. I guess you could say that, but in the past the nav bar would always find all of my pictures without having to use the drop down. I have no idea why things are now different. I'm just happy I can make it work, no matter how I did it. LOL
