DJI Air 3S, Affinity and the panorama function

I am need of some advice.
I use an iMac with the latest OS and Affinity, also the latest version. This week, using my DJI Air 3s drone, I took a set of panoramas. I take panos regularly and have not, until this week, encountered ANY issues with the stitching function of Affinity. This week the function simply would not work. The program would hang and the Activity Monitor stated Affinity is 'Not responding'. I contacted Affinity who, to be honest, have been very proactive and helpful in trying to resolve the problem, but as yet have not found the cause. The rest of the program works flawlessly, it's only the Panorama function, bizarrely. Until we find the solution, I downloaded what is widely reputed to be the best free Panorama app, HUGIN. I successfully downloaded the app and then tried to open it. It did the same thing and I got the little spinning wheel. I then decided to download a Free Apple based app called Panorama stitcher Mini. After uploading 5 images (jpgs) to the app, it said 'Failed to find any images with enough similarities!!!!. This is supposed to be a fully automated function!!!! The original images have been generated (by the drone's Pano feature) in exactly the same way as the training video at the intro to the app.
Now after all this failure to find anything that will create a panorama, one could be forgiven for being a bit paranoid, but I am now completely at a loss, since I am unable to create any panoramas from any file on any program I have tried.
Has anyone else encountered this impasse and found a solution?
