Like the PP or not

OK - trying to dive into this PP beyond the basics - not even close on where I'd like to be -
I've been downloading some actions and tweaking them to my taste - can you recommend any videos; books etc

I like this. I might have tried to compose with the girl's eyes positioned top left or right third, not top centered third. The bow seems to be fighting for and possibly winning the attention of the viewer away from the sweetness of her face. I love her smile.

Not liking the bottom of the picture... the effect doesn't sit well on her dress and as already previously mentioned the hair bow is a little bit distracting if a little over saturated.

That said I think it's a nice portrait.

Thanks for the input. I'll definitely tone down the bow. Not sure the blur effects either, wanted several takes on it

^^ as mentioned . for all the subtle colors in the photo .. that bow really begs for attention.

I quite like whatever you did. the light on the girl is very nice, and I like the dark background. It's dramatic and there's enough background to paint some sort of forest scene. I just don't like the blur on her lower half.
