The Fuji XF 18-135 'travel zoom' gets very mixed reviews, but I like mine. Here it was at 52mm, f5.0 and 1/60 second for a casual shot over lunch.

Always good to experiment of course but I think this is an unappealing moment. Hopefully you shot more after she put the makeup gear down.

I see what you mean, and I have more from the same day, but we have so many classic portrait style shots (for example the one below) that I also like to capture more natural moments. On the phone, playing with her instant camera etc.

My aim is to capture moments, sort of digital memories. Sometimes we get the lights out and try to recreate classic portrait shots, but usually they are just snaps of our day.

Taking or as some folk say making images is a great way of having those images as memories to keep and look back on over the years.
