It was a cold, blustery day...everything was hunkering down.

I like that. I would retouch the tiny bit of white he has stuck on his feather out. But other than that good stuff.

I like this- nice cool-toned colours, DOF, composition, etc. It really expresses a cold, blustery day quite well.

Knowing that you are in Florida, though, I bet that whatever temperature = cold & blustery in this shot is not quite what I'm imagining :)

I am going to take a wild guess that 58F isn't even close to what you're experiencing up there....Brr, Brrrrr, Triple Brrrrrrrrrr. You guys have to have brass cajones to deal with that every year.

Ha I don't have any cajones at all, but yep 58F is pretty warm in my books. We're sitting at a comfortable (for us) -2C up here in Toronto, which is something like 25 or 30F for you, I think.

It's all relative though, and I still quite like your expression of "cold" with the heron photo :)

it's going to get down to 34F tonight...not freezing but cold enough for me...too cold for me. Sorry for the gender misidentifaction. :blushing:

A couple of weeks ago it was -3f and I was still wearing shorts and t-shirt and sandals. Everyone here in MN looks at me like I am completely off of my rocker sometimes.. even my wife. She thinks I am nuts when I get so hot that I roll the window down in the car at times. She is SO SO happy to have dual climate in the car hehe.

and yes I REALLY do wear t-shirt, sandals and shorts during the winter.

I like this one, colors are nice and it's sharp. Nice blurry background that don't distract in any way. Great work! :-)

When I fist moved here and encountered the winter Canadian visitors, i thought they were all nuts - out swimming in the Gulf of Mexico when it was 40-50F. I still think they're nuts but at least now I understand.
