My impression of these is that you saw neat elements of the way the light was working and took shots of those elements, but did not do anything that is compositionally that interesting with them. It's a little hard to say without seeing the whole scene, but it's possible you could have stitched these together in some way... or put them in the frame in some way... such as to make them very interesting... but I don't think you succeeded with what you tried here.
