Photos NOT OK to edit
Last weekend, while driving to the location that my buddy and I had selected to shoot the Perseids meteor shower, we spotted llamas, alpacas and other animals grazing in a farm. These guys are not a common sight here in Manitoba, plus they look funny as heck, so we stopped and broke out our gear. As we got close to the fence to study our subjects-to-be, the farmer showed up and we had a nice chat about photography and also about the difficulties that small family-owned farms are facing to stay afloat. It turned out that his choice of llamas, alpacas and sheep to breed (instead of cows, horses, etc.) had a lot to do with market conditions in Canada.

On to the photos...

2. A "llalpaca" (a cross of llama and alpaca, according to the farmer who owns these animals)

ROTFLMAO!!! That is something! She liked you, Federico!!! Giving you that SEXY smile! ;)

LOL... That blade of grass just tops off 1b

These are great, I laughed! I needed to do that today :)
Thanks for sharing these :)

Reminds me of my first wife.

Love it!

Very cool! I like the use of the wide-angle on the last one!

Lesseee... Frederico does abandoned farmhouses,
decrepit rooms,
abandoned trucks,
wind and snow-swept trains,
wind-blown snow,
northern lights,
night lake views,
nighlife,
after-effects of raptures,
and now,
Llamas and llalpacas...

Rumour has it, he might also be getting into flowers.

This rolling rock gathers no moss, I see. Great shots, as always, Frederico.

I thought I was stuck in a rut, but when put that way... I feel better.

I tried in the past, but I gave up :)

Thanks all, glad these animals made you smile! They were really friendly and didn't shy away from the camera (for the most part).
